The topping out ceremony at its site in Jászfényszaru, located 50 km east of Budapest, marked the occasion to celebrate thyssenkrupp Components Technology Hungary Kft.’s EUR 42 million investment as a result of which the manufacturing of electric steering systems gets a large boost. The latest Hungarian project of the German-owned company aims to expand production capacity to a great extent and create nearly 110 new jobs.
Having been present in Hungary since 1999, thyssenkrupp continues to reinvest around here, and is ranked among the top 100 largest employers in the country by now. The company deals with R&D, manufacturing and assembly alike, and apart from its headquarters in Budapest it has sites in four different locations in the countryside.
Its latest project concerns a major capacity expansion of its Jászfényszaru site where electric steering systems will be produced for its customers worldwide. The area of the plant is set to increase by 11,000 sq m, and a new truck parking lot of 3,500 sq m will also be established.
The production units and lines as well as the machinery will be up and running by the end of 2025 after the completion of the new production hall.
